Our Commitment to Safeguarding

Mother to Mother is committed to promoting the welfare, safety and wellbeing of everyone who comes into contact with our charity, particularly children, young people and adults at risk.

We believe that everyone has the right to be safe, respected and protected from abuse, neglect, exploitation and harm. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, and we are committed to creating a culture where concerns are taken seriously and acted upon appropriately.

What We Do

To support a safe environment, Mother to Mother:

  • Maintains safeguarding policies and procedures that are regularly reviewed.
  • Provides safeguarding training for staff and volunteers.
  • Promotes a culture of openness, accountability and respect.
  • Follows safer recruitment practices where appropriate.
  • Works with statutory agencies and safeguarding partners when concerns arise.
  • Handles safeguarding concerns promptly, sensitively and confidentially.

Reporting a Safeguarding Concern

If you are concerned about the welfare or safety of a child, young person or adult at risk in connection with Mother to Mother, please contact our safeguarding team as soon as possible.
